About Jacqueline Li
1. Please describe yourself in a few sentences
I am currently a full-time Bachelor of Education student at York University. I completed my undergraduate studies at Ryerson University and studied Early Childhood Education. I am a friendly, caring, and energetic person who loves being with children. From my first paid summer job in China to my past placement experiences in Canada, I spent most of my time working with children of various age groups.
2. What is your tutoring approach? Give us your history working with students
During my studies at school and my experiences in my previous placements, I have learned useful knowledge and skills associated with children, such as oral communication, problem solving, and critical thinking skills. As such, I am able to comfort children when they are upset, find out solutions when they are having difficulties, and evaluate their safety of learning when they are in activities.
3. How long have you been a tutor for? What do you most enjoy about it?
I have many years of teaching experience, particularly with children. I enjoy working with children, especially when I provide them with activites to perform so they can better understand the concepts under question. I am always amazed by their creativity and their potential to learn.
