About Anh Chu
1. Please describe yourself in a few sentences.
I am PhD candidate in Biochemistry at University of Toronto. I have 5 years experience as private tutor, and volunteered with Toronto District School Board as mentor for Saturday programs for highschool students. With a strong background in science and success in my studies, I am eager to provide students with support and helpful strategies to succeed in school.
2. What is your tutoring approach? Give us your history working with students
I have strong understanding about the families' expectation in academic achievement on students, and I believe I can help students to have outstanding results in schools and prepare them well for any higher level of education they expect. I have students in gifted programs, IB, and AP, so that I'm comfortable with work load and cirriculums for students in advance program.
3. How long have you been a tutor for? What do you most enjoy about it?
I have been tutoring for 5 years and enjoy interacting with students. I love to get to know students as friends, and give them career advices, and enjoy listening to their stories in school after my tutoring hours.
