2. What is your tutoring approach? Give us your history working with students
I am grateful for each of my experiences since they have allowed me to reflect on my philosophy for education. I am extremely passionate about creating an open and inclusive learning environment for my students where they can excel and unlock their full potential. I use a variety of teaching methods which differentiate instruction and provide students the opportunity to discover, explore and wonder. My classroom environment involves inquiry-based learning and allowing students to exhibit different learning styles and multiple intelligences.
3. How long have you been a tutor for? What do you most enjoy about it?
I have been studying to become an educator for a year now. Prior to this I have tutored while in high school and mentored students during my undergrad. I enjoy seeing my students quickly improve their study habits. I strongly enjoy the individualized learning experience that I provide, and I feel it's one of the greatest gifts of value that I can offer. A great mentor is not only a great teacher, but also a great motivator. It brings me joy when I see my students engaging in productive struggle that allows them to progress.
