1. Please describe yourself in a few sentences.

I am an enthusiastic, outgoing, young and certified mathematics teacher who has been tutoring consistently for the past 8 years. I am an approachable person and like to keep my interactions with students as positive and comfortable as possible.

2. What is your tutoring approach? Give us your history working with students

My tutoring approach is very direct but dependant on the students needs. I believe that every student is completely different and needs to be approached as an individual. I am able to listen attentively, break down why they are struggling with the material and fill in the gaps in their content knowledge so that they can properly learn new content and be successful on tests.

3. How long have you been a tutor for? What do you most enjoy about it?

I have been tutoring for almost 9 years now (since high school). I enjoy teaching math because it is an important topic that many students fear. Early success in math is the strongest predictor of overall academic success and I believe that helping students get over the hurdles that hold them back in this subject is an awesome way to make positive changes in the world, one student at a time.
